Right to die? Two reports,filmed with a one- year interval . A Newsreporter has made a programmme about a young woman`s right to live or die. Chris is severely brain damaged following a traffic accident. Her father wants the life-sustaining support to be discontinued. He feels it is futic and cruel to Chris. The experts, on the other hand, have a totally different opinion. Who should decides whether a life has a value or not? With a camara´s help, Chris ´s life is depicted at close range. Life - sustaining support cannot be turned off according to the law in the state where Chris lives. In another state with other laws Chris coul be dead by now. The reporter returns to the hospital. The staff and other experts claim that Chris is making progress and that there is a quality to her life . However her father´s opinion is that her condition is gradually deteriorating. The format of the program is traditional but the content is controversial in respect of there not being any obvious answers to dificult questions, which the programme indirectly poses.
