The film describes the inner life of a young woman, a woman who has experienced traumas early in life, the kind of traumas that never leave you, traumas that have cast a shadow over her current life and relative happiness. The story is told in two different voices: her own poetic ramblings, and the echoes in her head of letters from her father. The images are concrete, yet are as much a moving painting as the image of a woman running, sitting, and then walking away. 'This important piece is a timely, hard-hitting and profoundly personal documentary about sexual abuse. It is a sobering and richly textured chronicle of the harm one man inflicted on his daughter.' - Black Maria Film and Video Festival, 1999
