Repeating Grandpa is one of 9 short films in a series called 'Mine'. 'I have no relationship with my grandpa... beside the fact that we're in the same family, but that doesn't mean anything if we don't speak to each other. And we don't. He is a loud and charismatic old man of 83, who loves to hear himself talk and who doesn't always think before he speaks. That is why he can be very difficult to spend time with. But when my grandma died three years ago, I bitterly regretted the fact that I didn't have a stronger relationship with her. I am aware of the fact that my grandpa won't be alive for ever, and I fear standing at a deathbed and, once again, bitterly regretting not having known the deceased - or not having made an effort to get to know him. So I have decided to give him the benefit of the doubt/a chance. I am going with him on a five-day road trip, across Northern Jutland. The trip will give us an opportunity to strengthen our limited relationship: grandfather and grandchild. It gives us an opportunity to see if it is worth getting to know each other.' This is a story about two generations meeting in spite of their differences. A grandchild and a grandfather, who each in their own way are tormented by loneliness, take off on a difficult journey.
