Refugees in Kyrgyzstan

A series of ads, dedicated to the most prominent people of Kyrghystan, portrayed on Kyrghyz national currency banknotes. The time period re-created in the ads is from the end of the 19th century til the middle of the 20th. Starting with the smallest banknote – one som – is an episode of the life of A. Maldybaev, the author of the Kyrghyz national anthem; five soms is the first Kyrghyz ballerina, B. Beishenalieva; 10 soms is the writer, poet and victim of Stalin´s repressions K. Tynystanov; 20 soms is Togolok Moldo, a poet and educator; 50 soms features Kyrmanjan Datka, the Empress of Alay; 100 soms is Toktogul, a philosopher, educator and singer.
