This dystopian series with elements of satire, grotesque, absurdism and dark humor provides an artistic reflection upon the present-day Belarusian reality and on the future of the country. The authors pose a question about what happens if the ongoing socio-political processes are not halted, including the unprecedented repressions, the disintegration of society, life in a constant state of fear for some and complete impunity of others, internal migrations, self-censorship and the domination of intellectual chaos and ignorance as well as humiliation of individuals and the blaming of the blameless. The tragicomic series explores the most absurd scenarios, trying to answer the question ‘what happens, if … ?’. Each part is a complete self-contained story but individual episodes are linked by certain characters as well as artistic choices. This episode titled Fostering tells a story of a riot policeman who detains several people during a protest and takes them to prison, where he is informed that there is no room in the cells. He is ordered to take the prisoners home for 15 days of incarceration.
