In 1987 a set of several hundred colored slides from the period of the second World War were discovered in a Viennese antique book shop. It turned out that they were of the Jewish ghetto in Lodz, and that they had been taken by Walter Genewein, a chief accountant. The image of the ghetto recorded in these colored slides (one of the earliest collections of colored slides) gave rise to a film on the extermination program from the this German accountant´s point of view. A witness of the liquidation of the Lodz ghetto, Arnold Mostowicz, a Jewish doctor, tells his story. [TV version + Cinema version]
