'Daders' is based on extensive interviews with three child abusers who have committed incest with their daughters and who have been convicted. Ordinary family men who abused their daughters for many years without anybody in the environment noticing anything. In the film we hear only the perpetrators, no victims and no 'experts'. The film gives an insight in their obsession and the way they victimised their daughters. The three men are not identifiably on screen. Shots of interiors serve as cinematic means to link their daily lives to their hidden lives, which mainly takes place in the intimacy of their homes.
