Fly on the wall documentarist, Roy Mallard, described by some as the 'broadcaster's broadcaster', returns for a second series in which he takes a look behind the scenes at the lives of 'people like us'. In an attempt to get under the skin of what it's really like to be one of the country's unsung professionals, Roy travels across the nation to interview a variety of subjects. In this series he uses his razor-sharp interview technique to tackle theological issues with vicar Andrew Treverton; learns what it's like to be a woman and a mother; uncovers the truth behind how column inches are filled on a local newspaper; follows actor Rob Harker through the world of voiceovers and auditions as he waits for his big break; lays bare the personal consequences of the changes currently sweeping through the world of financial services; and reveals the responsibility and professionalism required of today's airline pilot.
