This talk show is made by a team of television makers — both on screen and off — consisting partly of people with a (mental) disability: editors and guests, floormanager, make-up artist, assistant producer. As a result, people are not talking about — but with people with mental disabilities. A good mix of celebrities, experts and everyday people with and without impairment are invited which ensures a balanced and inclusive conversation. The host is the well-known Dutch singer, actor and comedian Paul de Leeuw. With humor and enthusiasm, Paul and his table guests discuss major news events. The informative yet cheerful and touching discussions also provide insight into current issues and news events in general and for the target group. Complex issues — inflation, climate change, politics — are explained in simple terms with high profile people like the Minister of Finance, a helicopter pilot, leaders of political parties, museum directors and many others. There is also time for the opinion panel in which 100 people with mental disabilities give their opinion on all kinds of current issues. A live band plays music in the studio for extra atmosphere.
