Parabolic People is a multicultural program, spoken simultaneously in several languages. This program was conceived to be understood by individuals of different cultures without the help of additional translations or sub-titles. It was produced with the participation of anonymous people in six cities throughout the world: Rio, Paris, Moscow, Tokyo, Dakar and New York. People were invited to enter a 2:00 by 2:00 meter booth located in the streets and equipped with a camera. Alone with the camera, each person lad up to 30 seconds to convey a message to the world. Starting off from this very elementary situation (the relationship of an individual with a camera) the different modules deal with topics that came up in the various countries. Trying to establish the link that exists among individuals throughout the world, which is not always the result of the language they speak or the culture they live in.
