Over the Moon with the Cavalier

The film is a comedy of manners about the dreams and obsessions of salesman and company employees. As they drive their routine journeys on British motorways they talk with passion about the size and specification of their company car and their strategies to acquire a better or bigger one. Their bizarre confession reveal an extraordinary set of “tribal” customs involving overtaking other cars, hanging up jackets on coat-hangers as they travel, an altering the badges on the backs of their cars. Over the moon with the Cavalier is a film about the nature of masculine enthusiasm and men´s obsession with status and competitive hierarchies.
