In his autobiographical film, director Dan Katzir, a former in the paratroops, intimately reveals his love story with Iris, a charming girl about to begin her army service. This is the first film made by a young Israeli that expresses the outcry of his generation as it struggles to find love and privacy amidst the reality of daily terror and hate. At the same time, a beautiful and innocent love story unfolds during the film. Katzir´s movie is an important historical document that has rare footage, screened her for the first time. It covers the intense years during which Prime Minister Rabin tries to move the region from peace, and the ugly attacks on him, climaxing in his assassination in 1995. In his quest, Katzir weaves the fascinating story of his family, and the role of his grandfather, Professor Aharan Katzir, a scientist of international renown, assassinated by the Japanese terrorist Kozo Okamoto at Ben Gurion airport in 1972. Made with love and humor, this movie examines Israel´s most painful scars.
