'Open Sunday' is not traditional documentary material. It represents TV2's religious programming. Throughout the series, host Egil Svartdahl is seeking to find out what Norwegians believe in. This is done by talking to people in all kinds of locations and environments throughout the country and listening to their stories. One programme from each confined environment. Is Jesus relevant to Norwegians, 2000 years after Christ? This particular programme is set at Oslo’s Central Station. What happens if one puts a large crucifixion statue inside Central Station and lets the train timetable serve as altarpiece behind it? What will people say if a priest serves communion on the floor of the public Central Station?
