Once upon a town

Once Upon a Town is the story of one man and his struggle to hang on to his dream. In 1971, he was among the hundreds of hippies that took over a deserted military base in the middle of Copenhagen. They created an alternative society and named it Christiania—the freetown. More than 33 years later, he still lives there today with his partner and their three children. But their life is disrupted when the Danish government decides to “normalize” the area in the spring of 2003.
