During the period of Ceaucescu, in Romania, women were meant to give at least five children to their country. Contraception and abortion were forbidden. Many children have been sent to their deaths to places called “home for non recuperable children”. This programme has been filmed in one of the 80 “homes” discovered n Romania since the revolution of 1989. 220 children are living there faced with misery, lack of food and hygiene and without any activity, education or tenderness. Some have been there for 18 years. Through short interviews and daily life, the film is a kind of “portrait” of some of those children.
