The film is based on the archive materials that were edited with the use of digital technologies and is made in a style of mute cinema. The soundtrack of the film is based on the national Azerbaijan music, mugam, performed by one of the best singers Alim Qasimov. It’s Dolby Digital sound. The creators of the film, director Murad Ibragimbekov and producer Rauf Atamalibekov, dedicated their work to their motherland—the country of Azerbaijan. The oil theme is closely connected with the history of the country. Oil is the blood of the Earth—joy and sorrow, peace and war, luck and trouble, life and death.
