The 21st. century opened with hatred: The attack on America, the bombing of Afghanistan and the Israeli-Palestinian violence. In a roundtable discussion hosted by NHK, 13 students from America and Egypt debated these conflicts, concluding by recognizing the importance of continuous communication. Nobel Laureate, Kenzaburo Oe, called their dialogue a beacon of hope for the future. This programme strikes a deep chord with people everywhere, who strive to make the 21 century an era of security and peace.
