NECROS: AN AFTERMATH-Directed by James Chressanthis, was inspired by David Plakke’s experiences while in the army. He was for some time assigned to detail in a burn clinic where he served as an aid to severely wounded patients/soldiers. Plakke’s experiences were nightmarish, and while he doesn’t often allow his “alter-ego to regress to that time period, in NECROS he drifts back to 1972, and remembers faces and events and sensory elements such as smells and sounds, that he didn’t often allow himself to think about. Using a variety of video techniques, Chressanthis enhances Plakke’s story and brings to life Plakke’s memories of war.
