Nagging doubt is a dramatic evocation of the social and political climate surrounding the Sharpville Massacre of 1960, when polic opened fire on 15.000Africans who gathered peacefully to protest against apartheid. At least 69 lay dead, including 10 children, and 200 were wounded. The shock waves travelled throughout the world. The events are depicted through the eyes of seventeen characters including Primer Minister Verwoerd, Harold MacMillan, and Nelson Mandela all played by Jack Klaff, a white South African.
