My Street

There are 315 people living in the 115 houses on fi lmmaker Sue Bourne’s street. Until now she barely knew a soul. In this production she parts the net curtains and reveals remarkable stories, hidden stories, on what could be any street. Sue finds millionaires living next door to people on welfare and convicted drug smugglers alongside classical composers. On her journey down the street she goes behind closed doors, meets party animals and recluses, the very young and the very old, hears stories of success and tragedy and sees how illness and loneliness, hope, and happiness have left their mark on the lives of her neighbours.
