Murdered, murderers

As living conditions become unbearable for some women in Iran today, many of them resort to murder or suicide as a solution. Killing by women is a documentary about these women who live in mental and physical insecurity in their conjugal lives, but also who encounter violence outside the home. Three cases will be examined... Raziyeh is 15 years old and is currently in prison for murdering a newspaper salesman who assaulted her. 16 year old Samira committed suicide by hanging herself in her home. 22 year old Maryam killed her husband after only one month of being married to a man 20 years older than her. In court she confessed ´ I killed my husband because I was tired of his beatings and verbal abuse. He also constantly sold me to other men for money. In the prisons we will meet these women who will explain to us what happened and also why they resorted to such extreme measures. We will also be witnesses at their court cases to see how they are seen and treated by the Iranian judicial system. Finally, by speaking with the husband of the girl who committed suicide, as well as with the family members of all the women and their victims, we will examine the psychology of certain people in Iranian society and their views towards women.
