Mixed feelings

In 1988, annette Heunis caused a commotion in South Africa. This 21 year old white girl left her parent’s house to move in with her black lover. In 1991, Dutch filmmaker Karin Junger, with her husband and their son, travelled through South Africa in search of these “loving Heroes” (Karin is white, and his husband Walter, black). After a long journey the four eventually meet. Questions are raised: What is the effect of the pressure from outside on their private lives? What are the compromises? What is the future? And the answers are surprising.
