Miami USA- Dancing tonight

An essay for television on life in Miami, USA, the northernmost capital of Latin America. This is a story that works the viewer into tha actual feel of a society. It uses no narration at all and is a delicately balance between the fast paced news story and the dialectics of drama. It is shot on U-matic High - Band by two journalists and documentary film-marker who handle the whole process of making TV themselves: research, script, interviews, camara, sound, editing and postprodution. The programme poses questions on the dramatic structure of reports and documentaries. This low-budget production is a good example of how ambitious documentary can successfully survive in times of budget cuts.
