Ever heard of a makeup update? Stop working, start makeuping! MakeUpDate is a Flemish mid form interview format created and hosted by TikTok star Bert De Kock. Well-known young role models show how they too struggle with insecurities through an update from their lives. No classic beauty tutorial, but a makeup challenge, surprising confessions and lots of humour. The format features celebrity interviews that are set up as dates in a studio. It involves Bert and his celebrity guest putting on makeup. They engage in a casual, funny and open conversation, deliberately choosing stories told by young protagonists. By talent already known to the target group (12 to 18-year-olds). Bert’s guests are peers and role models. They reflect their generation and represent diverse communities. Bert shares personal experiences with his guests, who in turn tell us what is on their minds.
