Make the Politician Work: Defence Minister Peter McKay

A unique experiment in which an elected Canadian politician is made to work on the front lines of the ministry/department that he/she leads. In this episode, Defence Minister Peter McKay undergoes boot camp military training at Canadian Forces base in Petawawa, Ontario. This is where Canada's troops receive training before they are sent to Afghanistan. He's treated like any other enlisted soldier, replete with a drill sergeant barking orders, while participating in a gruelling obstacle course and a simulated ambush exercise with live ammunition.
