Living to a Ripe Old Age

'Good Deeds in Daylight' is a series of short television plays about the current spirit of the age. A constituent element in all films is the obscure part of human consciousness. The episodes show (without being moralistic) what can happen if that scrupulously suppressed part of one´s personality comes out. 'Living to a Ripe Old Age': real estate broker Rob Hulshof lives for his family. The happiness and well-being of his wife, Annelies, and his daughter, Jessica, are the main focus of his life. Annelie´s mother has expressed her desire to move in with the Hulshof family as she feels herself dying inch by inch in the nursing home where she currently lives.
