Jerzy, a young men from Poland leaves his country to go to the USA. But therefore he needs money. So his journey stops in West-Berlin. There he lives under the circumstances of the other emigrants and meets other polish people…among them Ewa. He falls in love with her. To earn his keep, he works for a night-club specializing in orgies, as a hired man in charge of recovering debts. As he realizes he’ll never get anywhere with Ewa and that he’ll never be able to get to the United States legally, he procures fake Ids…
