Straight 24 hours in the life of a child, seven years old, who lives in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, especially around Cinelandia, a very crowed city place. The shooting has begun at 4 p.m. and finished at 5 p.m. of the following day. We just follow Roberto and his mates around in their day-life. The original title was “I’m here”, that we changed because during the shooting Robert named “Disnelandia” instead Cinelandia. Late we knew that the kids normally call the place Cinelandia Disnelandia. We have run 32000 feet and edited 400. The interviews we have done with other children, not the actors, a few days after the shooting. Due to Brazilian inflation the original budget for the film would certainly at least double if made today. Because of Council Brazilian law, it has been expedited in several theatre movies, before the screening of foreign feature films.
