In that program, small school children were taught to swear allegiance to Saddam Hussein and college students trained for the people’s army, ready to die for their president. The film later won the Golden Nymph at the 1991 Monte-Carlo Television Festival. In 1991, the same team went back to Bagdad to see what lessons –if any- had been learnt in the war.
