Acclaimed as on of the most exciting dancers and choreographers of her generation, Karole Armitage has danced with Ballanchine´s company in Geneva and become one of the stars of Merce Cunningham´s company in New York. Prompted by London´s Punk explosion, fragments of which had blown across to N.Y., she began to choreographed for American Television and danced by six dancers including Armitage herself and Michael Clark. We also see extracts from her recent work , a duet, in which she uses a classical dance vocabulary to express modern concerns, to the abrasive accompanimnt of percussive music. In addition Karole Armitage talks about her work and her electric influenc which range from sweet soul music to stiletto heels.
