A ' Interview' with one of the twentieth century´s most famous 'outsiders'. Jean Genet travelled from his hotel in Morocco to be interviewed at the home of one of the Arena team. With clips from films such as 'OUR LADY OF THE FLOWERS' (1940), and, 'CHAT D´AMOUR' (1950) as well as the plays THE MAIDS and THE BALCONY, this film captures the difficulties of 'interviewing' especially when Genet claims the he is beging marginalised by the process. 'the family is probably the first criminal cell', he explains as one who both ses and lives life 'on the diagonal' . Always a revolutionary in a 'maladroit' way, he repleis to the question 'who is the Genet'? That the question implies there is an imposer, but that 'after all, perhaps I am an imposter'. Like St. Augustin he says that he now 'waits for death'. He died on th fifteenth of April, 1986.
