Video documentary about Severine, 10 years old, completely without sight. She has no memory of the images of the first months of her life, the time before she lost her eyes. Severine leaves to discover Paris with her parents. Paris is the place where the adventure of “Eglantine”, the heroine of a story read by Severine’s grandmother, takes place.The camera follows Severine in her contacts with the texture of things and the spaces within arm’s reach.The video medium used to introduce us into the imaginary world of blind girl, enlightens us, at the same time, about our own perception. Therefore, the subject at hand is not so much a documentary about the blind, as a questioning of the concept of “perception”. In this sense, it is an occasion for each of us to readjust our view of the outside world.
