Inside life outside

“Inside life outside” is a verité-style video documentary which follows, over a two-and-a-half-year period, a group of homeless people living in a shantytown on New York City’s Lower East Side. Living with them for weeks at a time, the producers captured an intimacy, spontaneity, and direct emotional intensity. The progrmme’s complex treatment of the interconnected issues of poverty, homelessness, child neglect an abuse, drug abuse and alcoholism make it a timely and useful look at the growing underside of American society.
