I. Sat Shorts is a weekly TV show devoted to the screening of short films that offers both local and foreign independent film makers a chance to show their work to audiences in Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, Chile and Bolivia, beyond the usual festival scene. The show is composed of interviews with the directors, news on the world of short films and special reports on the history of this particular form of storytelling. The originality of the show relies on the mix of video and super-8 images and on a precise editing in order to achieve a look that stands out from the common local TV shows. Moreover, each show is structured as a short itself, telling a brief story in which Martina Luri, the show hostess, plays the main character. Other interesting sections of the show are the 'Director's Cut' & 'Moviola'. 'Director's Cut' presents local film directors editing raw material shot by amateurs, and creating short films taken from real life situations. Finally, 'Moviola' is the re-editing of well known feature films, reduced to two minutes, thus supporting the idea that almost every story could have been told as a short film.
