I am a hotel

Songs by Leonard Cohen weave a magical video fantasy around the guests in a grand old hotel, in this experimental music video poem. Cohen himself plays the seedy but benevolent resident spirit of the hotel who somehow seems able to bring people together. Toller Cranston plays the busy hotel manager with no time for his beautiful gypsy wife (Anne Ditchburn). There’s the hot blooded bellboy (Robert Desrosier) and the recipient of his passion, the shy but willing chambermaid (Claudia Moore). The troubled young lovers (Daniel Allman and Samantha Logan) seem to exist in tandem with their older selves, the retired admiral (Leo Leyden) and the elegant diva (Celia Franca). One by one their stories unfold, with Cohen providing the mysterious link through his poetry and song.
