Growing up with rockets

“Rockets” is a first-person story of America’s space program told by a girl who grows up near Cape Canaveral, Florida. By cross-referencing national events with family events and newsreels with home movies, the program captures the lives of the people who lived and worked in a community dedicated to the exploration of space. AS a first-person account it challenges the “objective” documentary and suggests a new way to illustrate the past.
