Gracious Curves

Gracious Curves is a film about what it is like to life in a female body, to develop from girl into a woman, top flourish, grow old and die. The film was made with the cooperation of over 50 Finnish women, all representing different ages. Gracious Curves remains a very subjective essay: The film has a narrator, the filmmaker´s “voice”, which unites the material into a whole. The narrator expresses her point of view personally, self-ironical and with a gently sense of humor. This is a personal film which reflects the joys and pains of a woman´s body and mind in a touching way, and which makes one consider his/her prejudices.Naked women! Lots of breasts! Even full frontal shots! But there’s a point to all this nudity…
