Ganapati: A Spirit in the Bush combines historic, archival and commercial depictions of elephants with original footage recorded in Thailand, India and Kenya to contemplate man´s fascination with violence, greed and power. The tape expresses the artist´s belief that humans and animals share a spirituals death as a result of its will to dominate. His use of digital delay, image processing and slow motion create a transparency of image and a visualization of spiritual life.
