In November 2001 Damien Degueldre, not yet a professional journalist, crosses the border between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. Together with his three journalist companions, he will become the privileged witness to an adventure that involves soldiers of the Northern Alliance, American Special Forces and an encounter with John Walker Lindh, the American Taliban. But by then the blunt testimony of the event has turned into a personal film, the story of a novice who discovers war for the first time. Where is the borderline between narration, commentary and artificiality?
