From Bulgakov

A staged film shot in the genre of a documentary. The characters of Bulgakov's 'The Master and Margarita' - Voland's retinue is travelling around Kyiv and invisibly drop in at the Writer's Memorial Museum. Their voice-off comments to the exhibits of the museum are given in the form of quotations from the novel perfectly suiting the story of Bulgakov's family and life. A lot of rare footage from the archives of the beginning of the 20th century is used in the film.
