“Fragments of Love” is inspired by Stendhal´s discussions in “De l´Amour”, or perhaps, more precisely, the first chapter. In any case, so liberally inspired as to become the story of a woman, an American actress at a turning point in her life. The years are catching up with her, success has alluded her, her husband is in existential hiding, culturally and physically far away, but at the same time present, too present. Another man share her life, a mature, “convenient” relationship, and still others, pass through her life, exaggerated, punishing. Finally, the theatrical festival, an important event, the journey, the re-discovery, then the play itself, claustrophobic, irritating, difficult, rough, the problems of interpretation and, outside, Bosnia, Africa, the Mafia, her companions in work, a director half guru, half football player who hypnotizes his actors, a mother long dead by her own hand who returns, Stendhal, Shakespeare, Edinburgh, Scotland and love.
