Forgotten

Forgotten is a documentary about Alzheimer´s disease. Alongside the stories of patients and those around them, attention is devoted to the medical side of dementia and to the role of professional care. The film covers a period of almost four years. Though the topic of dementia is clouded by much uncertainty, one undeniable fact is that the number of patients continues to grow. Forgotten brings the viewer face to face with the effects of the illness. In addition to explaining how early signs of dementia can be recognized, Forgotten reveals the way patients experience their own increasing helplessness as well as reactions from those around them.
