AIDS has orphaned more than 15 million children worldwide. Every day 6000 children lose a parent and 1400 children die from AIDS-related illness. Four Norwegian civilians, two men and two women, were chosen to travel to Zambia and Malawi. Their mission: to make personal video reports of the experience and their encounters with children affected by HIV/Aids. They were accompanied by a professional camera crew, but none of the four had any experience working as a television reporter. The aim was to create video diaries exposing their emotions during their encounters with these children as part of the annual Unite for Children fundraising campaign, arguably the most extensive and popular charity drive in the country and televised by the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation. The projects benefiting from the campaign are situated in Mozambique, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Uganda, Ukraine, Jamaica and Vietnam.
