“Factories” portrays the demise of an industrial neighborhood in Barcleona, Spain, as construction of the 1992 Olympic Village is slated to begin on the site. The programme is a haunting reminder that architecture is a living phenomenon prone to natural life cycles and with the razing of a neighborhood, a building or even a brick wall, a part of man’s collective memory is lost.
