Raising children in Israel while Israelis and Palestinians are killing each other. Is it time to leave? Didn’t all the grandparents become emigrants because they, too, fled unbearable circumstances? And didn’t they go to Israel, now home of the filmmaker and her family? It is October 2000, the first 2 weeks of the second Intifada. New anxieties mix with fragments of family experiences as the filmmaker sets out to untangle the moral dilemmas and questions about survival. In a stream of images, private and public archives acquire new meaning. It is a personal-political journey into the past in search of a future for the children.
