Recently in France, meeting points have been set up for separated couples and their children. When the dialogue concerning the child is at an impasse, judges send couples to these neutral meeting points, and the parent who does not live with the child is allowed to see him or her there and thus exercise visitation rights. There are also mediators present who help them in full accordance of the law. Claudine Bories films the intimacy of one of these meeting points for a full year, without making interviews or interjecting comments. Her film is a warm and tender chronicle that tells the story of four couples and their timeless conflicts.
