Epic Nails

The nail boom finally has its own talent show. Epic Nails breaks the codes of these types of formats and destroys stereotypes around the world of nail design. A show conceived as a generational manifesto where eight manicurists with their own voice and a lot to say, fight to become the best nail artist. Each program consists of a themed “battle” that tests technique and creativity of the contestants but also their ability to address issues such as feminism, gender issues, concepts of beauty, and their own fears and insecurities. At the end of each battle there is a winner: the Èpic Nail and a loser: the Èpic Fail who leaves the Claws Salon. The space is designed like a real salon for real customers. There a professional manicurist-client relationship is established that shows how someone who takes care of us, becomes a confidant to whom we open up emotionally. The program has a fun presenter and friend to the contestants who walks around the salon giving encouragement, food or comfort wherever needed. The verdict at the end of each battle is given by two expert manicurists. The ultimate challenge requires the highest technical skills. Contestants bring out their “superpowers” that can make them winners of €15,000.
