“Drop the dead donkey” represents a fresh and original approach to topical comedy. Previously satire on television has been regarded as the domain of sketch shows and chat shows. This is the first time that sitcom has been used for topical satire. Scripts are continually rewritten and modified right up to the last minutes before recording.
