Doei is a fresh and dynamic TV series about four girls in a band, at the beginning of their promising careers. In 40 episodes, Doei gives us a look behind the scenes of the music-business and shows us a world of ambition and fierce competition. But for Petra, Vicky, Joye and Fem, their band 4-tune is more than just a vehicle to the big success. Each of them has a reason to be in this band. A reason that drives them on and creates the drama in Doei, because you can’t always have what you want! Episode no.1: No Business After years of practice, it seems girl band 4-tune's hard work is finally going to pay off. There's talk of a record-deal and the well-known Polysinc label seems to be involved. Reason for celebration? Is signing on the dotted line really such a good idea? On top of this, there's another worry: Petra's father, Lennart, who never wanted his daughter to sing in a band. Now, completely against his principles, he's there at one of 4-tune's gigs: Still convinced he's in the right, on a mission to keep his daughter on the straight and narrow and ready to resort to desperate measures.
