Dockers

A radical drama. Radical in its political message and radical in its concept and mode of production. A collective drama. Dockers is not a 'Jimmy McGovern project,' nor an 'Irvine Welsh film.' This is the story that a group of dockers, and two women involved in the dispute, decided to write at a workshop in Liverpool. Jimmy McGovern and Irvine Welsh were their tutors. It is a genuinely dockers´ story: one of hardship, humour, humility, but ultimately hope. Behind the film is afascinating story of its conception, its making and now its screening.
